Shop or Save?

by admin on June 13, 2009

Yes…I am a very savvy shopper. I dare not call myself frugal because I am not. I spend wisely on the necessary essentials so that I may splurge or indulge in little luxuries like a great bottle of wine, a nice dinner out with my husband, a Caribbean vacation, a handsome charitable donation to my favorite cause or a fabulous pair of pumps that may not be on sale. In the past I was quite extravagant with my spending and I was forced to learn these savvy shopping skills after a serious bout with credit card debt. And I haven’t looked back since. Over the years I just keep getting better and better at it…and it has become a joy to share all that I learn with you, especially through this blog. And I absolutely love hearing from you and building our community one recipe at a time!
So… with the economy in the fragile state that is, I am wondering how all of you are coping. Are you shopping or saving? Have you changed how you shop for things or perhaps cutting down on trips to the grocery store? Are you making frugal recipes that cost only pennies per family member? Please tell me…share with our community! We would love to hear how you are doing and how your spending habits have been affected. Share you story, savvy shopping tips, and reflections about the economy below….and be sure to submit a frugal recipe if you have one by clicking HERE!
